The Megalithic Temples of Malta are prehistoric monumental stone temple structures constructed during the 4th millennium BC and the 3rd millennium BC. They are amongst the earliest free-standing stone temples in the world and are remarkable for their diversity of form and decoration. Each temple complex is a unique architectural masterpiece and a witness to an exceptional prehistoric culture renowned for its remarkable architectural, artistic and technological achievements.
Decorated features found within the buildings bear witness to a high level of craftsmanship. These elements consist mainly of panels decorated with drilled holes and bas-relief panels depicting spiral motifs, trees, plants and various animals. The form and layout of these buildings, as well as the artefacts found within them, suggest they were an important ritual focus of a highly organized society.

TEMPLE SITES ON MALTA
Mnajdra Temple
Mnajdra Temple is situated on a lovely cliff, on a rugged stretch of Malta’s southern coast. It is some 500m away from Ħaġar Qim Temples, and is made up of highly impressive large limestone stones, that are soft and worn and stand as a true testament of time. There are many interesting features, that indicated the Temple was used for Oracular communion, and Astronomical observation. It definatley feels like a place imbued with star knowledge. The temple is also built in a way that the main entrance, marks the position of the rising sun on the first day of spring and autumn (the Equinoxes) and the first day of summer and winter (the Solstices). This Temple has a distinctly feminine feeling, One gets the feeling that the ancestors of this place not only had a deep connection with the Stars but also the Earth. Possibly living for hundreds of years here, until one day they vanished. This site is deeply emotional, and visually evocative, leaving any explorer to ponder the mysteries of this Earth and the immensity of time.
Ħaġar Qim Temple
The temple of Ħaġar Qim on Malta stands on a hilltop overlooking the sea and the islet of Filfa. First excavated in 1839, the remains suggest a date between 3800 – 2200 BC; a period known as the Ġgantija phase in Maltese prehistory. This Temple is made up of impressive megalithic stones and includes an oracular hole that is in alignment with the Sunrise of the summer Solstice, where the sunrise light shines in and illuminates a stone slab inside one of the main chambers of the Temple. Also interesting to note is the sites particularly masculine feeling, including a very prominent altar that features a stone that appears to be an om phalus stone.
Could it be that there was a very thriving Earthbased culture living in here that honored the masculine & feminine balance?
Possibly living for hundreds of years , until one day they vanished. This site is deeply emotional, and visually evocative, leaving any explorer to ponder the mysteries of this Earth and the immensity of time.
Skorba Temples
The Skorba temples are megalithic remains on the northern edge of Żebbiegħ, in Malta, which have provided detailed and informative insight into the earliest periods of Malta's neolithic culture.
Interesting Pottery and Goddess figurines were discovered here. I find this one figurine in particular beautiful and unusual and look forward to feeling this place and sharing it with you.
Ta’ Ħaġrat Temple
One of the oldest free-standing monuments of such scale and complexity in the world and renowned for its monumental doorway and facade, this is the only temple site that is built entirely of local Upper Coralline Limestone.
Its location offers not only a magnificent view of the rural Maltese environment, but puts the visitor into the same landscape setting that surrounded the prehistoric temple builders.
Apparently the view from here is also beautiful, and perhaps will reveal something important to us about the Ley of the Land and this temples placement.
Tarxien Temple
This site consists of a complex of four megalithic structures built between 3800 and 2200 BC. It’s a large and fairly intact site with an impressive entrance Gate, beautiful decorated with the Spiral motifs commonly found in these temple Sites, it also shows quite beautifully the unique goddess shaped forms of these temple structures. Many important artifacts were found here, and I am excited to discover what messages of resilience and Earth dreaming the ancestors have left here.
Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum
World renowned the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum is an underground prehistoric Temple, that is believed to be a burial site, but has been discovered in recent times to be one of the most sensitive acoustical chambers in the world. Is it possible that this profound place hosts mysteries of Living and Dying beyond what we currently comprehend?
The Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum is made up of interconnecting rock-cut chambers set on three distinct levels underground. The complex was used over a span of many centuries, with the earliest remains dating back to about 4000 BC and the more recent remains found dating to the Early Bronze Age (ca 1500BC).
Certainly a site of significance and mystery. In order to preserve the site, visitors are limited and one has to make a reservation to visit. This will probably be the most intense and significant of my transmissions, revealing many things, and through transference a unique message for each of us during these profound times of transformation on the planet.
